Rahbeks salon om Lykke-Per

The next Rahbeks salon takes place on Wednesday 21 October from 18:00 to 20:30 (doors open at 17:30, as always).

During the autumn season, Rahbeks saloner at Vartov focus on the interplay between culture and nature, exploring a range of major European literary works from this perspective. On 21 October, Rasmus Vangshardt, associate professor of literary history at the University of Oslo and co-founder of Rahbeks, will explore Henrik Pontoppidan’s Lykke-Per for us. Economics student Peter Wislund Hansen from the youth forum AGORA will give a passionate talk about why young people should read Pontoppidan’s masterpiece.

As always, Rahbeks saloner feature one or more speakers of the highest professional calibre, with exceptionally engaging and inquisitive company. Refreshments, typically coffee, tea and water, are served before and during the salon, followed by a glass of wine for the social mingling at the end. Folk poetry and communal singing from the folk high school songbook always lend a magical touch to Rahbeks saloner.

During the autumn season, each of the Rahbeks saloner is followed by a meeting of our youth forum, AGORA, for participants under 30.
