Rahbeks salon om Mod strømmen af Joris-Karl Huysmans

At Rahbeks salon on Wednesday 11 November, 18:00–20:30 (doors open at 17:30), the literary focus will be Joris-Karl Huysmans’ Mod Strømmen.

During the autumn season, Rahbeks saloner at Vartov focus on the interplay between culture and nature, exploring a series of major European works from this perspective. On 11 November, Freddy Hagen, who holds an MA in modern art and cultural communication and is known for his countless insightful art and literary reviews, will be among those presenting Huysmans’ major work.

As always, Rahbeks saloner feature one or more acclaimed speakers, with exceptionally good company and plenty of questions from the audience. Refreshments, typically coffee, tea and water, are served before and during the salon, along with a glass of wine for the social mingling. Rahbeks’ talented pianists accompany the singing of folk high school songs at the salons.

During the autumn season, each of Rahbeks saloner is followed by a meeting of our youth forum, AGORA, for participants under 30.
