A Good Year
A Good Year returns home for their biggest headline show to date at Pumpehuset on Saturday 13 February
Following a successful autumn of touring across Europe and the UK, and with a tour of the USA coming up, A Good Year return home to Denmark for their biggest headline concert to date. At Pumpehuset, A Good Year fully unfolds their collage-like live format, with performative sequences, unexpected guests and a style that allows the acoustic, electronic and cinematic to merge.
There is music you listen to, and then there is music that creates new worlds for you to step into. When A Good Year take over Pumpehuset, it is about more than a concert. Albert Hildebrand and Tobias Laust build a staged universe of sound, light, smoke and moving images, where the music sets the scene for something physical. Mysterious figures, nature and digital worlds meet in dramatic visual tableaux, and the concert unfolds as a collage in which each element opens up a new space.
A Good Year is Albert Hildebrand and Tobias Laust’s experimental meeting of music and video. Their sound moves between live recordings, pitched vocals and acoustic guitars, evoking memories and a longing for something that feels both familiar and difficult to put into words. The acoustic and electronic meet in a playful, unpredictable universe where the songs never stand alone.
Since their debut work Sofina, the duo’s first complete work combining sound and film, was selected for the official selection at CPH:DOX in 2024, A Good Year have worked at the intersection of sound, image and performance. In the spring, they released the album Play, featuring guests such as MØ, Horse Vision and Quiet Light.
In the summer of 2026, A Good Year played at Roskilde Festival, and in the autumn they took Play out into the world. Now, at Pumpehuset, audiences will experience A Good Year in their full format: an evening to be heard, seen and felt.
