Loco 25 years celebration

Jazz Club Loco has been around for 25 years this year.

From its early days on Christianshavn at Sofies Kælder, full-scale events at Stengade 30, album releases by Bugpowder, Babakarej, Kirsten Ketsjer, Slutspurt and others, rough seas with M/S Stubnitz in Copenhagen Harbour, ‘red nights’ at Husets Teater on Halmtorvet, Musketer Festival, Wray Club on Strandgade, Morphology at Dansehallerne – and most recently the association’s new stomping ground in Sydhavnen, with Klein, Dansepavillonen and Østre Kapel at Vestre Kirkegård.

We’re gathering this evening not only to mark the time that has passed, but also to look ahead. We’ve put together a programme that captures some of Loco’s spirit, where the uninhibited and the boundary-breaking are lovingly intertwined.
