Line-up: Gabriel Coburger, tenor saxophone/flute; Jesper Løvdal, saxophones; Martin Schack, piano; Anders Mogensen, drums. “Jesper Løvdal and Gabriel Coburger met in New York’s vibrant jazz scene over 30 years ago, and have since been part of the European scene for modern and creative jazz.

Back in Copenhagen and Hamburg, they met up with the two Danish and very popular musicians Martin Schack on Hammond organ and Anders Mogensen on drums.

The compositions come from some of jazz’s greatest musicians, including Thelonious Monk and Wayne Shorter, and the music gives plenty of room for the fantastic musicians’ exciting interpretations and wild improvisations.

Gabriel Coburger is a virtuoso tenor saxophonist and flautist who impresses with his unique command of his instrument and music, while Jesper Løvdal plays tenor and baritone saxophone with soul.

At the centre, we find Martin Scacks’ Hammond organ, and Mogensen’s deeply swinging drums give the audience vibrant and sensitive music, full of both grand emotions and swing.

Look forward to a concert where virtuosity, humour and spontaneity meet, inspired by influences from around the world.” www.paradisejazz.dk
