Copenhagen Sexology School, København
Frisættelse af skam i København
Time: 6 October 2026, 18:00–21:00 Venue: Copenhagen Sexology School, Kompagnistræde 22, 1208 København K.
This workshop invites you to explore the depths of shame and guilt and understand the difference between “there is something wrong with me” and “I have done something wrong that is not in keeping with the person I want to be”.
The American psychologist Brené Brown, who has researched shame for years, says:
Four key elements are important for building resilience to shame: 1. The ability to remain authentic when experiencing shame.
2. A commitment to navigating shame without compromising our values.
3. Emerging from the experience with greater compassion and connection than before.
4. Moving from shame to self-compassion, recognising that shame cannot survive when it is brought into the light and met with compassion and understanding.
In this workshop, we will also explore practical steps for moving through shame with self-compassion. Shame is a social wound that requires social healing. When we are met with empathy, shame fades, allowing us to connect deeply and meaningfully.
Through this journey, we will foster resilience and a stronger sense of dignity.
Join us on a profound journey into self-acceptance and become better able to show up as your authentic self.
Empathy is not about having the same experiences, but about recognising the same feelings. We all carry something with us, and this workshop gives us the opportunity to lighten some of that burden ♥️ Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome.
It takes place at my own venue, Copenhagen Sexology School, Kompagnistræde, 1208 København K. There is a metro station just around the corner, and I recommend taking the metro rather than looking for a parking space. We will start on time at 18:00.
☝🏼Bring a sarong if you have one. You will not be wearing it, but you will be using it.
With love, ✨🩷✨
