Amar:Litt: En aften med romantasy

Amar:Litt presents an evening in the sign of spicy dragons: romantasy. Few literary genres are talked about as much these days as romantasy.

The genre is a blend of romance and fantasy, and this fusion creates strong, nuanced heroines, an exciting universe and, not least, sex and happy endings.

Romantasy has created engaged reader communities on social media and in book clubs. It has brought fanfiction and romantic, sexy books out of niche communities and into the arms of a broad audience. For something magical happens in the genre, something that cannot be ignored by the international book industry and has filled literary discussions in recent years.

This is something we at Amar:Litt are curious about. That is why we are welcoming publishing professional Nikoline Rosenbjerg Kjeldsen, who has written her thesis on romantasy, in conversation with Maren Lemb, author of “Solens Gave”, the first instalment in the romantasy series “Bjergene imellem os”.
