SUMMARY:Amar:Litt: En aften med romantasy
LOCATION:Bibliotekshuset\, Danmark\, 2300 København
DESCRIPTION:Amar:Litt presents an evening in the sign of spicy dragons: r
omantasy.\n\nFew literary genres are talked about as much these days as r
omantasy. The genre is a blend of romance and fantasy\, and this fusion c
reates strong\, nuanced heroines\, an exciting universe and\, not least\,
sex and happy endings.\n\nRomantasy has created engaged reader communiti
es on social media and in book clubs. It has brought fanfiction and roman
tic\, sexy books out of niche communities and into the arms of a broad au
dience. For something magical happens in the genre\, something that canno
t be ignored by the international book industry and has filled literary d
iscussions in recent years.\n\nThis is something we at Amar:Litt are curi
ous about. That is why we are welcoming publishing professional Nikoline
Rosenbjerg Kjeldsen\, who has written her thesis on romantasy\, in conver
sation with Maren Lemb\, author of “Solens Gave”\, the first instalme
nt in the romantasy series “Bjergene imellem os”.\n\nSo join us for t
his evening at Bibliotekshuset and hear what the genre can do. Hear about
trends\, subgenres\, communities\, spice and stars such as Rebecca Yarro
s and Sarah Maas. We look forward to seeing you.\n\nAmar:Litt is a group
of volunteers who work to put on fantastic and thought-provoking literary
events around Amager. We do it all on a voluntary basis and are supporte
d by Copenhagen Libraries and Amager Øst Local Committee. Thanks to them
