Babylon Bar, København K
Salon Bleu: Josephine Philip
Fedty & Josephine Philip present: Salon Bleu. Once a month, the nightclub is transformed into an intimate stage, with subdued blue lighting and small round tables with white tablecloths, table lamps and candles.
The concept is to pair a soloist with a carefully curated jazz house band made up of some of the country's finest jazz musicians.
They have one rehearsal and one soundcheck, then play a concert together lasting around an hour.
Anything can happen, everything is at stake and the magic happens – an evening that takes place just once.
Soloist: Josephine Philip.
Singer and composer Josephine Philip has been a prominent and versatile voice on the Danish music scene in recent decades through projects such as JaConfetti, Darkness Falls and collaborations with, among others, Trentemøller.
In 2022, she made her solo debut with the album We Get Lost And Found, which received great acclaim from both critics and audiences – including 5 stars in GAFFA – and several tracks from the album have been in regular rotation on P6 Beat.
Josephine Philip's music moves effortlessly between the intimate and the grandiose; from acoustic, fragile moments to cinematic productions with dark, jazzy undertones and a captivating trip-hop aesthetic.
At the heart of her music is her distinctive voice, which brings the many moods together with presence and intensity.
In recent years, Philip has also been working on her first Danish-language album.
Band: Cecilie Strange, Anna Roemer, Nikolaj Hess, Anders Christensen, Lasse Jacobsen.
