Særbyvandring: Modstand, tysk terror og skæbner på Nørrebro 1944-45
The streets of Nørrebro hold many stories of violence and drama from the German occupation of Denmark. Join a guide from Politimuseet on a walk around Nørrebro, and see its streets and places brought to life through stories from the occupation.
The walking tour focuses on the tense years of 1944–1945 and covers themes such as the internment of the police on 19 September 1944, which ushered in the period without a police force, German counter-terror, the general strike and the killing of informers. Against the backdrop of Nørrebro’s streets, the museum’s guide will recount some of the many tragic fates and events, including the capture of the well-known resistance fighter Citronen and the fateful day when approximately 2,000 police officers were interned and sent to German concentration and prisoner-of-war camps.
The tour starts at Politimuseet and ends near Dronning Louises Bro, where you will have the option of walking back to Politimuseet with the guide. The total route is just under 2 km.
You will be able to visit the museum on the same day during our opening hours. Admission is included in the price.
