Montessori Baby Playgroup · 0–12 months

A small, hands-on playgroup for babies and their parents, inspired by Montessori principles and designed around how babies develop during their first year.

Across four sessions, we’ll explore observation, sensory play, respectful caregiving and independent movement — with simple activities you can recreate at home and plenty of time to understand the thinking behind them.

11 September · Observation: Discover the Montessori art of observing your baby — noticing what captures their attention, when to step in, and when to give them space to explore.

18 September · Sensory Play: Explore how simple, carefully chosen everyday materials can engage your baby’s senses, curiosity and concentration — without the need for flashing or battery-powered toys.

02 October · Respectful Caregiving: Learn how everyday moments like changing, dressing and handling your baby can become opportunities for connection, communication and growing participation.

07 October · Independent Movement: Explore how to create an environment that supports your baby’s natural drive to move — from reaching and rolling to crawling, standing and exploring independently.

The four sessions are designed to build on one another, but also work as a standalone workshop.

The group is intentionally kept small, so there is plenty of opportunity for questions, individual guidance and hands-on support. Activities will be adapted to your baby’s developmental stage, with babies divided into pre-mobile and mobile groups where relevant.

Each 45-minute session includes a Montessori-inspired activity, practical guidance for parents, relaxed time to connect with other families, and a short take-home summary with the key ideas and tips from the session. The sessions are held in English, with Christina available to translate or clarify in Danish whenever needed.

No previous knowledge of Montessori is required — just come as you and your baby are.
