Lav din egen streetart – stencilworkshop med Freespace
Do you feel inspired to make your own street art?
After a visit to the exhibition HVA’ HAR DU TRAVLT FOR?, it’s time to try working with your own design or text and transfer it to paper or a tote bag Stencilling is a striking technique in which a design is cut out of a material and transferred onto a surface using spray paint or a brush. The method allows you to repeat the same design again and again, and is known through street artists such as Banksy, who has used stencils to create iconic works around the world.
In this workshop, you’ll learn to design, cut and use your own stencils — from the first design on paper to the finished print on the surface.
During the workshop • you’ll be introduced to street art and stencilling as a technique • you’ll be taken through the materials and process • you’ll work on a sketch of your idea • your idea will be transferred to card or plastic and cut out • your stencil will be sprayed or painted onto your chosen surface You must be aged 12 or over to take part in the workshop. Adults are also welcome.
