Dinnerkoncert med Steffen Brandt

Steffen Brandt is best known as the frontman of the band TV-2, which was formed 45 years ago. He has written both the lyrics and music for all the group’s songs, and his flair for writing songs with an edge and charm has been a major factor in the band’s popularity.

Building on the minimalist new rock of the 1980s, TV-2 developed into one of Denmark’s most popular bands, and they remain so today — without losing their sharpness.

Their style is characterised by double meanings, irony and self-irony, and a well-developed knack for seeing straight through the trends of the day.

But the songs also revolve around life’s great questions: life, death and love.

In Steffen Brandt, the group has one of Denmark’s most understated and effective performers.

As a Danish lyricist, Steffen Brandt has shaped the Danish language with his colloquial, ironic yet always affectionately critical and questioning songs.

His undeniable linguistic talent has enriched the Danish people and the Danish language, and in 2003 he deservedly received the Danish Language Society’s language award for his contribution to the Danish language.

Steffen Brandt has also written songs for a wide range of Danish artists, including News, Ray Dee Ohh, Sanne Salomonsen and Lis Sørensen.

Since 2001, Steffen Brandt has organised a series of out-of-season concerts on Bornholm.

He has chosen artists from a wide variety of genres and has attracted audiences from all over Denmark.

In 2009, he released a solo album of Bob Dylan songs reimagined in Danish, entitled "Baby Blue".

The doors to the bar area open at 17.30, and the hall and your table will be ready at 18.00.

Dinner will be served at approximately 18.30, after which Steffen Brandt will take to the stage.

The concert ends at approximately 22.00.

Free parking is included in the ticket price at the car park at Nannasgade 28.

There are stairs and no lift.
