Ritual dark folk with BLOOD AND SUN. Blood and Sun is a dark folk project created by Luke Tromiczak and performed with a rotating line-up of musicians from across the USA.

The music is ritualistic and intense, marked by a raw simplicity in which vocals, strings and a pulsing, almost ceremonial rhythm form the foundation.

Rooted in traditional folk and with a distinct spiritual dimension, the songs revolve around existential themes, personal trials and the search for meaning.

Since its beginnings in 2011, the project has earned international recognition for its dark, atmospheric songwriting, where gothic tones and myth-inspired stories come together in both grand and intimate moments.

Blood and Sun operates in the space between the earthly and the metaphysical, creating music that both challenges and brings its audience together.

The sound draws on elements of 1970s folk, black metal aesthetics and atmospheric soundscapes, where repetition and texture play a central role.

The result is an expression that feels both timeless and immediate.

On their 2026 European tour, Luke Tromiczak performs alongside Erik Wivinus, Liliian Liu and Sawyer Gebauer.

Audiences can experience Blood and Sun’s distinctive world live when they visit BETA on 20 November.
