Vintersolhverv

Join us as we celebrate the winter solstice at Vesterbro Library. We’re inviting you in for a concert, an author reading and refreshments on the shortest day of the year – and marking one of the great turning points in the wheel of the year: the return of the light!

Concert and reading: Hear the award-winning string trio Vesselil, who combine folk music traditions and classical composition in their releases 'Til Kirsten' and the self-titled 'Vesselil'.

Also hear the critically acclaimed author and PhD in anthropology, Sofie Isager Ahl, whose books 'Lysbønder' and 'Regeneration' have received critical acclaim and are widely read.

She is currently presenting her poetry collection 'Elegier over jorden', which centres on the rebirth of nature.
