Skygger af lys

Look forward to a lively and moving evening of ballet, where humour, poetry and dance go hand in hand.

In two acts, the performance takes us on a journey through dreams, love and hope -- with smiles, warmth and touching moments.

The evening consists of three works which together create a complete experience full of contrasts -- from playful and light-hearted to profound and moving.

The first act opens with classical charm and the pure joy of dance, as three dancers perform a pas de trois based on Bournonville’s iconic steps.

The acclaimed Dinna Bjørn is behind the staging, which pays tribute to the Romantic ballet tradition with grace and elegance.

This is followed by Maria's Dream by award-winning Czech choreographer Petr Zuska -- an imaginative and humorous journey into the dreams of ballerina Maria Taglioni.

In a surreal park with four men and swans, we meet Maria, who playfully and charmingly seeks freedom in her own imagination.

A poetic and entertaining portrait of a woman who danced her way free from the expectations of her time.

The evening’s final work, War Letters, brings us closer to reality -- but with the heart and hope still at its centre.

Inspired by letters from the Second World War, it tells a moving story of love at a distance.

With beautiful movements and human warmth, the work shows that even in the midst of darkness, light can be found -- and even a smile.

Skygger af Lys is a celebration of life’s many facets -- from the dreamy and playful to the serious and moving.

An evening full of humour, poetry and dance that touches both the heart and the funny bone.
