Reveal Party + Catch the Breeze

Just as the season arrives for warming spices and long, dark evenings by candlelight, it is also time for melancholic dream-pop and shoegaze, as Reveal Party and Catch The Breeze envelop us in autumn darkness and dreamy sounds: Reveal Party uses her guitar like a well-loved

leather journal, penning diaristic songs set against intricate indie folk-rock arrangements. Under a tongue-in-cheek stage name, this self-made musician began her journey by pouring her heart out at open mics and dive bars across Copenhagen. She has since performed at larger venues such as the Roskilde Festival and Vega. DIYing her way through Europe, she travels light with a suitcase full of merchandise and a laptop that acts as her miniature music studio. Whether she is crafting bedroom ballads late at night or leading a live rock band, Reveal Party has a remarkable talent for making any performance feel intimate. Her lyrics are delivered with the honesty and vulnerability of a drunken confession shared among friends, and her old-soul voice strikes a chord that is both delicate and resilient.

Catch the Breeze are pioneers of Nordic shoegaze and dream-pop, with a focus on ethereal sounds and evocative imagery. Imagine Warpaint’s rhythm section, Slowdive’s guitar sound and deep baritone vocals, and you have a picture of CTB’s sonic universe. Gaffa writes: "Hope is a recurring theme on the album, where it lies behind the darkness, as in Henrik Nordbrandt’s poems, where sadness is reflected in the beauty and hope of melancholy."

The album ”Hope has a Place” was released on 13 September 2024 and is the third album from Catch the Breeze, with the band sounding freer and more focused than ever.
