Juleshowet med Danmarks Underholdningsorkester
DANMARKS UNDERHOLDNINGSORKESTER TAKES JULESHOWET ON TOUR ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH A TRULY STAR-STUDDED LINE-UP OF SOLOISTS IN DECEMBER 2026.
The popular symphony orchestra will interpret the familiar and much-loved melodies of Christmas alongside Nicklas Sahl, Pernille Rosendahl, Troels Gustavsen (NOAH) and Stine Bramsen. Tickets for Juleshowet 2026 go on sale on 27 March at 10. Danmarks Underholdningsorkester has built up a long and proud tradition of travelling around the country and marking Christmas through music. In recent years, the orchestra has performed with Burhan G; this year, four new, outstanding soloists will take to stages in concert halls around the country. "Together with Pernille Rosendahl, Nicklas Sahl, Stine Bramsen and NOAH, we will certainly embrace some of the powerful emotions Christmas awakens in us. We can do that because each of them brings their own sound, different memories and their own emotional perspective on Christmas, which will be wonderful to bring to life together with them. We look forward to spreading light and bringing Danes together in the December darkness," says John Frandsen, director of Danmarks Underholdningsorkester. The four singers share the excitement about this thrilling musical collaboration and are looking forward to singing in the festive season with Danmarks Underholdningsorkester backing them. "Christmas is something we come together for. And especially its songs. Whether it is the hymns we sing around the tree in the living room, 'All I Want For Christmas' on the radio or all the cosy Christmas calendar songs on television, there is something special about the feeling that music brings in December, and that touches us every single year," Stine Bramsen begins, and continues: "Anything is possible with Danmarks Underholdningsorkester. And I am sure that what each of us can create with them will be both magical, fun and nostalgic." Nostalgia also has a particular hold on Nicklas Sahl as Christmas approaches. "When I was a child, my guitar teacher always played Hans Dal's 'Isbjerge' from Nissebanden i Grønland at the end-of-term Christmas concerts. To me, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed. So, with Hans Dal's permission, I wrote lyrics for it a few years ago -- lyrics about the people who shine brightest for me at Christmas: those closest to me, who have always been there, and whom I might sometimes take a little for granted in an often busy everyday life. I look forward to sharing that message in these beautiful halls," says Nicklas Sahl. Both Troels Gustavsen (NOAH) and Pernille Rosendahl have previously toured with Danmarks Underholdningsorkester, to great success. Over the past ten years, the orchestra has travelled from DR's classical concert halls to the country's largest venues and stages, in audience-favourite collaborations with some of Denmark's best-known pop and rock artists. This is the first time Danmarks Underholdningsorkester has presented Juleshowet with four soloists: four voices, each with its own sound and interpretation of the adventure we all take with us from childhood, and which unfolds again and again throughout our lives. There is no doubt that this concert series will be an early musical Christmas present to share with those you love.
