I Grænselandet med Rane Willerslev & Anders Morgenthaler, 22 April – Restaurant Babylon. Rune Skyum-Nielsen is the moderator.

Restaurant Babylon invites you to a special evening of Fireside Talks, where we enter the borderland with two of the most uncompromising voices in Danish culture.

An evening where we allow ourselves to be drawn out to the place where we lose our footing and find something greater than ourselves.

Rane Willerslev, Director of Nationalmuseet and anthropologist, has spent much of his life right on the edge.

His books describe, among other things, how he travelled to Siberia to support a fur-trapping project, but ended up having to flee into the Siberian taiga to escape the Russian fur mafia and survive in extreme conditions.

Rane has lived a life like no other, and we look forward to hearing where the boundary lies, and whether there is a boundary at all.

Anders Morgenthaler, film director and cartoonist, challenges our cultural, social and humorous boundaries in turn: he provokes, plays and deliberately crosses the lines the rest of us prefer to stay within.

His humour goes right to the edge, and often one step further.

Together, they enter the space where we explore what happens when you deliberately seek out the boundary, physically, artistically, humanly and existentially.
