Copenhagen Make the most of your day at Planetarium. Your ticket gives you access to exhibitions, workshops and Science Shows on the same day. Check the day's programme on the website and plan your visit so you can experience it all. Does your child dream of discovering the secrets of the stars? At Astronomi for børn, you will learn together how to find your way around the night sky – and you do not need a telescope or any prior knowledge to take part. Beneath Planetarium's iconic dome, our presenter takes you on a journey among the stars, planets and the Moon. How do you find the constellations? Why does the Moon have craters? And how can you tell the difference between a star and a planet? Each child taking part receives their own astronomy kit packed with equipment to take home, so the adventure can continue beneath the real night sky. You will learn how to use the equipment and pick up simple tips and tricks for exploring the stars yourselves. We will also hear the fascinating stories behind some of the best-known constellations in the sky – including Cassiopeia and the Plough. After the interactive experience, we will screen the award-winning fulldome film Áróra, in which Emma Sehested Høeg takes you on a sensory journey into the fascinating world of the Northern Lights. An experience for curious children and their grown-ups – and the perfect start to a lifetime of looking to the stars.
