DESCRIPTION:Workshop in Japanese embroidery and mending 🧵🌸🎌 19 J
 anuary 2027 from 17:00 to 19:30\n\nIn Japanese sashiko embroidery and bor
 o mending\, function and poetry come together. Here\, the imperfect\, the
  worn and the lived-in are celebrated. At this workshop\, you’ll get a 
 taste of both techniques.\n\nSashiko means “small stitches”\, and eac
 h stitch becomes a small witness to time\, care and free creative energy.
  Boro mending means “patch upon patch”\; by using offset patches and 
 sashiko stitches\, you create a completely unique look\, where the visibl
 e repair becomes a little work of art in itself. 🧵✨\n\nBoth techniqu
 es have their roots in Japanese peasant culture and live on today in a mo
 dern aesthetic that invites mindfulness\, slowness and sustainability. 
 ♻️🌿 The workshop is taught by Ida Christoffersen\, who designs and
  teaches Japanese textile traditions through her upcycling universe YUME.
