 s almost magical! A uniquely intense blue\, also known as ‘Japan blue
 ’. Instructor Ida Christoffersen returned from Japan in June\, where sh
 e immersed herself in shibori techniques on both the Izu Peninsula and in
  Kawasaki.\n\nMany people know the English tie-dye technique\, but fewer 
 have tried the Japanese shibori tradition\, in which folds\, wraps or sew
 n stitches create unique patterns where the dye cannot penetrate.\n\nThe 
 workshop is taught by Ida Christoffersen\, who designs and teaches Japane
 se textile traditions through her upcycling universe YUME.ITO. On her Ins
 tagram\, YUME.ITO\, she shares designs\, workshops and her Japanese sauna
  events 🎎 During the day\, you will • Learn how to weigh\, mix and m
 easure the pH of your own indigo vat. ⚗️ • Be introduced to four di
 fferent shibori techniques – stitched\, wrapped\, folded and gathered a
 round tubes. 🌀 • Make at least four different dyeings on the clothes
 /textiles you bring along. 👘 • After the course\, you can take your 
 bucket of indigo vat home with you – so you can carry on dyeing at home
 . 🪣 • Receive YUME.ITO’s booklet with a recipe for indigo vat and 
 descriptions of the different techniques • Have the opportunity to buy
