DESCRIPTION:Step behind the walls of this building\, normally closed to t
 he public\, which has been the headquarters of Copenhagen Police for over
  100 years. Built between 1918 and 1924\, it was designed by Hack Kampman
 n and is now regarded as a neoclassical masterpiece.\n\nThe guided tour o
 ffers stories about both architecture and history. Discover the iconic ci
 rcular courtyard\, the square courtyard now best known as the memorial co
 urtyard\, and the many long corridors with their fascinating details. All
  tours are led by current or former police officers.\n\nThe tour starts a
 t the main entrance to Politigården facing Polititorvet.\n\nConditions:\
 n\nAll participants must be able to present valid photo ID (a driving lic
 ence or passport).\n\nAll participants must have a permanent address in D
 enmark.\n\nPolitigården is a listed building and is unfortunately not ac
 cessible to wheelchair users. The tour also involves a fair amount of wal
 king\, including stairs and corridors\, so we do not recommend it for peo
 ple with limited mobility.\n\nLarge bags or rucksacks are not permitted o
 n the tour. Part of the tour takes place outdoors\, and we recommend dres
 sing appropriately for the season.\n\nKøbenhavns Politigård is the head
 quarters of Copenhagen Police\, so situations may arise that require canc
 ellation at short notice. We ask participants on guided tours of Københa
 vns Politigård to respect Politigården as a workplace and behave approp
 riately.
