SUMMARY:Omar S
LOCATION:Pumpehuset\, Studiestræde 52\, 1554 København V
DESCRIPTION:Detroit legend Omar S comes to Pumpehuset on 26 March 2027\n\
nWith roots in Detroit\, Omar S has established himself as one of the mos
t influential figures in modern house and techno. In the early 2000s\, he
founded FXHE Records\, laying the foundations for a career defined by in
dependence\, creativity and self-reliance. While many producers chased th
e trends of the day\, Omar S pressed his own records\, designed his own c
overs and distributed his music on his own terms.\n\nHis back catalogue r
anges from the dark and captivating Just Ask the Lonely from 2005 to the
wide-ranging Thank You for Letting Me Be Myself from 2013 and The Best! f
rom 2019\, all of which have left their mark on the electronic undergroun
 d. His sound combines soulful house\, minimalist techno and unexpected fu
nky elements with raw textures that reflect the streets of Detroit.\n\nAw
ay from the studio\, his live performances have taken him from the legend
ary Coachella Festival to iconic clubs such as Berghain in Berlin and Fab
ric in London. His sets always bear the hallmarks of a raw\, improvisatio
nal approach\, with the connection to the audience at their heart.\n\nOma
r S has achieved cult status across generations and is held in high regar
d by both critics and fellow artists. His music encapsulates the undergro
und’s core values: doing things yourself\, maintaining your integrity a
nd letting the music speak for itself. For anyone seeking the authentic D
etroit sound\, Omar S is impossible to overlook.
