SUMMARY:DRUMATICS
LOCATION:Rört\, Thoravej 35\, 2400 København
DESCRIPTION:Live West African drums. DJ. Dance. Movement. Connection.\n\n
DRUMATICS is a live dance experience combining the raw energy of West Afr
ican percussion with electronic music and facilitated movement.\n\nThroug
hout the night\, we move between live drumming\, DJ sets\, and the two co
ming together. At times\, our dance facilitator will guide the room throu
gh movement and shared experiences. At others\, the space is completely y
 ours — to dance\, explore\, connect\, let go\, or simply be.\n\n-------
 -----------------------------------------------------------\n\nWe want to

 to consume — content\, products\, entertainment\, even experiences. We
want to create a space where you are not simply watching or consuming som
ething\, but are part of what is happening.\n\nThe boundary between audie
nce and performer becomes less important. The music responds to the room.
The room responds to the music. What happens is something we create toge
ther. We believe music and dance can bring us closer to ourselves and to
each other. They can get us out of our heads and into our bodies. They ca
n create moments where we feel fully present\, fully engaged and fully al
ive.\n\nDRUMATICS takes inspiration from conscious dance\, ceremony\, clu
b culture and the ancient human instinct to gather around rhythm — with
out trying to be only one of those things.\n\nWe want to bring the presen
ce and connection found in conscious gatherings into bigger spaces and on
 to bigger dance f…
