 m of the Year award at DMA Jazz 2025.\n\nThe saxophonist now takes over P
 aradise Jazz with his award-winning project and a group of leading musici
 ans from the Danish scene.\n\nFor more than 35 years\, Jakob Dinesen has 
 made his mark on Danish jazz\, moving freely between jazz\, pop\, afro an
 d musical borderlands.\n\nThe music of Slow Flow is cinematic\, intense a
 nd open\, drawing inspiration from spiritual jazz\, Ravel and soul to Wea
 ther Report\, Italian film music\, David Lynch\, afro and reggae.\n\nSlow
  Flow also traces its roots back to Dinesen’s musical beginnings in Onc
 e Around the Park and Jakob Bro’s Beautiful Day\, among others.\n\nOver
  the years\, Dinesen has played with\, among others\, Hugo Rasmussen\, Th
 omas Helmig\, Thomas Blachman\, Lars H.U.G. and Kira Skov.\n\nHe has also
  worked on his releases with international jazz names such as Paul Motian
 \, Jeff Tain Watts\, Nasheet Waits\, Kurt Rosenwinkel\, Eddie Gomez and B
 en Street.\n\nFor Dinesen\, Slow Flow is about building bridges between m
 usical traditions\, cultures and generations.\n\nThe inspiration is also 
 personal.\n\nHis children have roots in both Africa and Denmark\, and he 
 hopes they will carry traditions and knowledge…
