SUMMARY:Dinnerkoncert – Dodo synger Benny Andersen
LOCATION:Schillerhuset\, Nannasgade 28\, 2200 København N
DESCRIPTION:Dodo Synger Benny Andersen.\n\nCan Svante be a woman?\n\nYou
can find the answer to this question and other observations about the tri
bulations of female Svantes at a concert with Dodo\, performing her inter
pretations of Benny Andersen’s "Svantes viser".\n\nIn 2009\, Dodo met B
enny Andersen while working on a project for Unicef\, where Benny and Dod
 o performed together.\n\nAfter countless requests and a lengthy process\,
Dodo’s first solo release\, the CD "DodoBennyBossa"\, came out in 2011
.\n\nDodo had fallen head over heels for the humorous pessimism of the Sv
ante songs\, whose music felt entirely at home in the melancholic\, jazzy
tones of bossa nova.\n\nSince then\, between her work with Dodo & the Do
dos\, she has performed a selection of the classic Svante songs from her
first gently swinging solo CD.\n\nIt will be an evening celebrating bossa
nova\, Benny Andersen and female Svantes!\n\nDodo will be joined by Jepp
e Holst (guitar) and Jens Rud (bass\, percussion).\n\nBefore the concert\
, a welcome snack and a 2-course concert menu will be served (main course
and dessert).\n\nIf you would like a vegetarian menu\, please email even
t@schiller.dk.\n\nThe doors to the bar area open at 17:30\, and the hall
and your table will be ready at 18:00.\n\nDinner will be served at approx
imately 18:30\, after which Dodo will take to the stage.\n\nThe concert e
nds at approximately 22:00.\n\nFree parking is included in the ticket pri
ce in the car park at Nannasgade 28.\n\nUnreserved seating.\n\nThere are
 stairs and no lift.\n\nCompanions…
