SUMMARY:Career Suicide + Decade
LOCATION:Beta\, Øresundsvej 6\, 2300 København S
DESCRIPTION:Career Suicide was formed in Toronto in 2001 and plays uncomp
romising hardcore punk with clear roots in early 1980s American hardcore.
 \n\nThe band's music is fast\, raw and direct\, and drawing on first-wave
punk and North American garage rock.\n\nAt the core of the band are guit
arist Jonah Falco and vocalist Martin Farkas.\n\nFalco is also known as t
he drummer of Fucked Up\, closely linking Career Suicide to Toronto's har
dcore and punk scene.\n\nOver the years\, the band has gone through numer
ous line-up changes but has maintained the direct\, unpolished approach t
hat has defined them from the beginning.\n\nFollowing their early demos a
nd self-titled debut\, the band released a string of EPs and other record
ings.\n\nThe album 'Attempted Suicide' was released in 2006\, followed by
'Machine Response' in 2017.\n\nThe band has also toured extensively thro
ughout North America\, Europe and Japan.\n\nCareer Suicide belongs to a s
train of hardcore punk where speed\, short songs and a sharp DIY aestheti
c take precedence over polished production.\n\nTheir music looks back to
the genre's early years without simply becoming retro.\n\nMore than two d
ecades on\, the band remains part of the international punk underground.
