  from the archive’s extensive collections\, from the Middle Ages to mod
 ern times.\n\nIn the basement beneath the City Hall\, the archive holds t
 he memory of the entire city.\n\nHere you’ll find the documents that te
 ll the official story.\n\nBut over the centuries\, archivists have also p
 reserved accounts of the lesser-known\, hidden and suppressed sides of th
 e city’s history.\n\nOn this tour\, we’ll venture into the archive’
 s storage rooms\, which are normally closed to the public.\n\nHere\, amon
 g other things\, we’ll hear stories about some of the archive’s treas
 ures\, which have survived to this day only by chance.\n\nWe’ll also un
 cover an uncomfortable story about the City Archives during the German oc
 cupation of Denmark.
