The Tivoli Garden

The Tivoli Gardens has amused and enchanted Copenhageners and people from all over the world since its first season in 1843.

Like a small fairy-tale village, you'll find it right in the heart of Copenhagen. And we assure you that Tivoli's got something for everyone, no matter what age. You'll find everything from roller coasters to theatres, romantic gourmet restaurants, cafés, bars, magnificent flowers and outdoor stages where local and international stars perform throughout the season.

For Christmas, Tivoli transforms into a winter fairyland, where you can skate and by Christmas presents in an outdoor old-fashioned market. Summer season lasts till the end of September and winterseason begins in the end November.

It's magic it's Tivoli! You'll love it!

Bakken

Dyrehavsbakken is probably the world's oldest amusement park. It's thanks to a woman, a Ms.Kirsten Piil that Dyrehavsbakken, Bakken for short, is at all. In 1583 Kirsten Piil found a spring right here. People came from far and near and where there are people there are jesters. And that's how it all begun. Thanks to the royal family, Dyrehavsbakken with its amusement park, also is a recreational area.

In 1669 the king decided to establish his royal hunting-grounds right here. Today there still are some 2000 deer and bucks descending from that very same royal stock. If you happen to be here in the beginning of November the Hubertus hunt is held right here.

Bakken the amusement park has everything any grown-up or kid could ever want from a place like this. It's tradition, it's joy and it's laughter and in the centre of it all is Pierrot the classic jester who entered the scene already in 1800.

Copenhagen Zoo

With its more than 3.500 animals and some 250 species the Copenhagen Zoo is a highlight not only for kids but adults as well. You can "travel" from an African savannah, into a jungle or a South American pampas and meet the animals living there. Have a date with an elephant, a tiger or a monkey or maybe you prefer to watch a snake being fed, or just let your kids scratch the back of a goat.
They are all here!
