Copenhagen has quite a few very good museums with top
international reputation and unique collections. Whether
you're interested in modern art, ancient art, science
in nature, animals, Guinness records or sculptures, Copenhagen
has it all!
But note that most museums are closed Mondays and have
an admission fee.

The state-owned museums in Copenhagen have their roots in
the Royal Collection or private 17th-century collections. This applies to the collections that today
make up the National Museum the Tøjhusmuseum (Museum of Uniforms and Weapons),
the Rosenborgsamling (Rosenborg Collection) and Statens Museum for Kunst
(The Royal Museum of Fine Arts).
